By harnessing that serenity under the stars, we’ve created a space for emotional and physical restoration that deepens our guests’ connection to the natural rhythms of water and sound

The Night Sound Healing experience costs US$3,000 (€2,591, £2,247) for up to 10 guests
The experience is in line with the nocturnal spa trend, predicted by Spa Business in its recent Spa Foresight report
The SE Spa at Grand Velas Los Cabos in Mexico is offering nocturnal sound healing ceremonies to couples or small groups.

The Night Sound Healing programme is an 130-minute experience that starts at dusk (5.00pm).

During the first 80 minutes, a spa butler guides guests through the spa’s hydrotherapy circuit, encouraging participants to experience mindful breathing, meditative stillness and intentional movement.

This water journey is inspired by native ancestral rituals that are said to prepare the body and mind for the healing energy of sound.

The hydrotherapy circuit features a eucalyptus-scented steamroom with chromotherapy, a polar pool, an aromatherapy sensory shower, a sauna and a hot tub. Guests can also use the multi-sensory pool, which has waterfall cascades, a bubble bed, multi-sensory jets, a bubble geyser and a warm pool.

The 50-minute sound healing session follows as guests lie suspended by floats in the spa’s main pool. Tibetan singing bowls and other resonant instruments are played and the sounds are affected by the water. The immersive practice is said to release tension, quieten the mind and promote a meditative state.

The Night Sound Healing experience costs US$3,000 (€2,591, £2,247) for up to 10 guests. The resort describes the package as ideal for intimate gatherings, wellness retreats or romantic escapes.

Celina Cossio Arenas, spa manager at SE Spa, told Spa Business: “We introduced the Night Sound Healing experience during our annual week of rejuvenating activities, called the “Wellnessing Getaway” at Grand Velas Los Cabos. The response was so positive we knew we had to offer it on an ongoing basis. Evenings at the spa offer a unique kind of stillness. By harnessing that serenity under the stars, we’ve created a space for emotional and physical restoration that deepens our guests’ connection to the natural rhythms of water and sound.”

There are also therapies on the menu that include the use of hot herbal compresses, organic candle wax massage and a chocolate body mask.

The spa also has a beauty salon and a spa atelier for workshops on aromatherapy, natural exfoliants and skincare.
