A new Indian spa resort set to open at the beginning of next year will feature a floating Ayurveda Centre situated on a barge in the middle of a lagoon.
Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces will unveil Green Cove Resort and Spa, its latest property in Keralan, India, at the beginning of next year.
Opening on 1 January, the 10-acre resort will be situated in the village of Kovalam on Keralan coast and boast 57 hillside and 18 floating cottages and a Tropical Spa.
As well as the Ayurveda Centre, which will offer traditional treatments from two specially equipped massage rooms, the Tropical Spa facility will consist of one couple’s and three single massage rooms, a fitness suite, beauty parlour and spa shop.
The resort will also have a swimming pool, a speciality restaurant, an al fresco beach restaurant and a seafood barbeque grill as well as a conference hall with the capacity to host 150 guests. Details: www.tajhotels.com
