Gumnut releases mobile and iPad applications
POSTED 20 Jan 2011 . BY Dean Fox
Gumnut software is committed to providing the latest technology for its clients and as a result has released mobile applications which can be used on a wide variety of Smart phones and tablets, including iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, Google, Nokia and Windows 7.

The new apps on smart phones allow customers to make single, package or class bookings and view their current bookings by entering their credentials to access the client's Gumnut system day and night and virtually from anywhere in the world.

Mobile apps are amazing tools that allow businesses to get bookings with minimal expense. They are also very secure, as the business provides a user ID and password. Their customers will love it as it gives them the ability to quickly make a booking without the need for a phone call or access internet. It also promotes client loyalty and brand recognition.

To improve operational efficiency, therapists can also view their bookings on mobiles. This is a useful feature for casual staff or staff that move around and work in different locations. They need to know their daily schedule and any changes quickly.

Gumnut says one of the main uses of the iPad application will be on business premises to help staff with quick, timely access to information and view their appointments, client history and make notes for the current treatment without the need to access a workstation. In a hotel/resort environment staff can roam around the property and promote the spa or fitness club and book on the spot.

Outside business premises, Gumnut’s mobile apps will be useful when carrying out promotional activities in shopping malls or on market days. Armed with an iPad and a wireless EFTPOS terminal, all booking and sales activities can be performed via the iPad app. They'll also enable for mobile businesses like massage therapists or personal trainers to perform their work and also handle payments on the move.
