Harvey Nichols to open medi-spa facility
POSTED 24 Nov 2006 . BY Sarah Todd
Harvey Nichols department store in Knightsbridge, London, UK, is to launch a 73sq m (785sq ft) medi-spa facility called Beyond Spa on 8 December.

Featuring five treatment rooms and a retail area, which will provide both non-prescription and prescription only dermatological skincare, Beyond Spa will be staffed by full-time, on-site dermatologists, physicians and medical aestheticians.

Created under the guidance of US plastic surgeon Dr Barry Cohen, Beyond Spa’s board of advisors also includes the Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Georgetown University, Dr Tina S. Alster and Dr Jay Austen, who is on the plastic surgery faculty at Harvard Medical School.

Beyond Spa will use multi-spectral imaging and analysis technology to provide comprehensive evaluations and plan for facial rejuvenation and ongoing skincare regimes.

Treatments will include chemical peels, microdermabrasion, laser skincare treatments, Botox and Restylane injections and collagen stimulation. Guidance will also be given to clients on minimal or non-invasive medical skincare and cosmetic services.

If the pilot London site is a success, there are plans to roll out Beyond Spa to other Harvey Nichols sites around the UK. Details: www.beyondspa.co.uk
