Hilton is set to launch a DoubleTree-branded hotel in Girona, Spain.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Spa Emporda will feature 87 guestrooms located on the grounds of Emporda Golf Club site.

Located within holiday resort Costa Brava, the club boasts two 18-hole golf courses, created by Robert von Hagge.

Due to open before the end of the year, the hotel will house a spa with an indoor pool and a fitness centre. Other facilities include a 24-hour business centre and a range of meeting rooms.

Exact details of facilities at the resort will be revealed at a later date.

Hilton Worldwide currently operates five hotels in Spain in Barcelona, Madrid, Toledo and Palma, Mallorca.
