A Gothic church is to be the site of a new, luxury day spa to open in Cheltenham next January.
The Portland Chapel was renovated seven years ago by Mitch and Tina Powis into the Chapel Rock Gym, a fitness and climbing centre. They have now decided to relocate the gym and convert the prestigious Regency building into a spa.
The project has been given the go-ahead by town planners and tourism chiefs keen for Cheltenham to be included in the nationwide spa town revival. Building work is already underway.
