Hyatt to open hotel and full-service spa at Miami’s tallest tower
POSTED 20 Apr 2017 . BY Tom Walker
The 83-story, mixed-use Panorama Tower will include a Hyatt hotel and 821 residential units
US-based Hyatt Hotels Corporation has confirmed it will open a 208-room Hyatt Centric-branded hotel at the new mixed-use Panorama Tower in Miami, Florida.

The 83-story Panorama Tower, which is currently under construction, will become Miami’s tallest building when it opens and, as well as the Hyatt hotel, will feature more than 50,000sq ft of retail and restaurant space.

Due to open in Q3 2017, the tower will also hold the title of the largest residential building south of New York, offering 821 exclusive rental units.

While exact details on the Hyatt Centric hotel’s wellness areas are yet to be confirmed, they will include a “full-service” spa with treatment rooms, a health and fitness space and a swimming pool. Whether the spa will be made available to non-guests – and residents of the tower – hasn’t been confirmed.

The spa’s design will follow Centric’s brand values – which are based on it offering “lifestyle hotels for millennial-minded travelers who want to be in the middle of the action”.

The hotel will be managed by Concord Aztec Brickell – a joint venture comprised of Aztec Group and Concord Hospitality.

“This will be a very special hotel for Miami,” said Mark Laport, president and CEO, Concord Hospitality. “The location and amenities of Hyatt Centric Brickell Miami will serve business and leisure travelers who desire the authentic hospitality for which Hyatt is known around the world.”

The Miami property is the latest in Hyatt’s development pipeline of hotel spas.

In January, it launched the 261-bedroom Riyadh Olaya hotel in Saudi Arabia, which features a Moroccan-themed Sokoun Spa with four treatment rooms, a men only spa and a variety of wellness services.

Scheduled to open later this year, Park Hyatt St Kitts – the first in the Caribbean region – will house a spa with nine treatment rooms, including one outdoors, and will offer body and facial treatments.
