Hyatt is set to open a new hotel and spa in Bangkok, Thailand after signing a management agreement with Grande Asset Hotels and Property.

Hyatt Regency Bangkok, Sukhumvit is scheduled to open in 2017 and will be the first Hyatt Regency-branded hotel in Bangkok.

Designed by Thai architecture firm, Office of Bangkok Architects and PIA Interior, the hotel will offer 288 guestrooms, including 26 suites.

A spa will also feature with six treatment rooms, a fitness centre and a swimming pool.

Situated on Sukhumvit Road Soi 13, the hotel will be part of a mixed-use development that includes a residential tower and a boutique shopping centre.

More than 1,000sq m (10,764sq ft) of meeting space including a ballroom will also be on offer.

Ratnesh Verma of Asia Pacific, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts said: "Bangkok is a key gateway city in Asia and we are delighted at the opportunity to have a Hyatt Regency in this market.
