Hyatt plans three new spa hotels for Saudi Arabia
POSTED 15 Feb 2012 . BY Pete Hayman
Hyatt Hotels Corporation (HHC) has revealed that it has secured an agreement with Naseel Holding Company to open three branded hotels in Saudi Arabia within the next four years.

The deal means that the operator has six properties under development across five brands in Saudi Arabia, with Park Hyatt Jeddah - Marina, Club and Spa its sole hotel to have opened.

Hyatt Regency Jeddah is scheduled to open during the second half of 2015 and will feature 240 bedrooms; a spa and fitness centre; three restaurants; and extensive meeting space.

Park Hyatt Riyadh will launch during the fourth quarter of 2015 and has been designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM) to boast 275 bedrooms and a spa and fitness centre.

The third property will be the Grand Hyatt Jeddah, which has also been designed by SOM and will open in early 2016. It will include a spa and fitness centre and 400 bedrooms.

Hyatt International's Peter Norman said: "Expanding the number of Hyatt-branded hotels in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be a significant step towards our goal of being the preferred brand for global travelers."

Naseel Holding Company chair Majid Al Ibrahim added: "We are confident that the three new buildings are going to be a very valuable addition to the two great cities of Riyadh and Jeddah."
