IAKS, IOC and IPC award international architecture prizes

The International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS) have announced the winners of this year's international architectural awards for sports and leisure facilities.

The prize-giving ceremony took place during the 23rd IAKS Congress in conjunction with the FSB event (International Trade Fair for Amenity Areas, Sports and Pool Facilities) in Cologne, Germany earlier this week.

In total, three gold medals were awarded, alongside five silvers and 12 bronze awards. There were also additional special prizes and distinctions handed out to eight projects.

The full list of winners of the IOC/IAKS Award 2013 is:

Gold

• Bao'An Stadium in Shenzhen, China

• Superkilen in Copenhagen, Denmark

IAKS, IOC and IPC award international architecture prizes

Bao'An Stadium in Shenzhen - one of the winners
The International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS) have announced the winners of this year's international architectural awards for sports and leisure facilities.

The prize-giving ceremony took place during the 23rd IAKS Congress in conjunction with the FSB event (International Trade Fair for Amenity Areas, Sports and Pool Facilities) in Cologne, Germany earlier this week.
