Ikos opens third Greek resort on island of Corfu
POSTED 06 Oct 2017 . BY Tom Walker
Ikos, which launched in 2014, is establishing a chain of luxury spa resorts across Greece
Ikos Resorts is adding a third property to its fledgling portfolio, with the launch of the Ikos Dassia resort on the island of Corfu.

The Greek operator, founded in 2014, is steadily establishing a chain of luxury spa resorts in popular tourist destinations, offering an upscaled alternative to the traditional all-inclusive format.

The company acquired the Corfu Chandris and Dassia Chandris hotels in 2015 and has spent €110m (US$117m, £92m) on the purchase and renovation of both properties, turning them into a single five-star resort which will open in May 2018.

Ikos Dassia will boast 403 bedrooms, suites and villas and, as with other Ikos Resorts, will offer an all-inclusive experience featuring restaurants led by Michelin-starred chefs and a focus on wellness.

The resort’s spa will house seven private treatment rooms – including couples’ suites – indoor/outdoor heated pools with spa pools; a thermal suite comprising a steamroom and sauna; a hairdressing salon and beauty corner with nail salon.

There are also seven heated swimming pools, spa pools and a number of private pools for guests. The spa’s full menu is yet to be confirmed but will feature signature treatments by Anne Sémonin.

“The Ikos Spa by Anne Semonin is a luxurious getaway in a spacious, contemporary environment for guests to enjoy a superb range of treatments from the French beauty brand,” a spokesperson said.

Ikos Dassia will house a total of nine restaurants as part of the all-inclusive dining experience.

Seven of the restaurants will feature à la carte menus prepared by Michelin-starred chefs, with the cuisines ranging from modern Greek and Asian to Italian, French and Basque food.

As part of Ikos’ Dine-Out experience, which encourages visitors to explore local cuisine, guests can head out to traditional restaurants across Corfu and dine there for free as part of their all-inclusive stay.
