The InterContinental Davos, located 1,580m (5,183ft) above sea level in the Swiss Alps, is set to open its in doors in December 2013.

The 216-bedroom hotel, which also features 96 apartments and chalets, will include a spa, health and fitness centre, three restaurants, two bars and 1,500 sq ft (139sq m) of meeting space.

The 1,200sq ft (111sq m) Alpine Spa includes a sauna and indoor/outdoor pool with the spa concept based on ‘rocks and herbs’, with herbs from the surrounding mountains used in spa treatments.

Studio Grigio, on the top floor of the hotel, features a trendy lounge bar and destination dining experience. Matsu is a north Asian Stubli with flavours inspired from North Asia. Capricorn is an all-day dining restaurant and Nuts & Co is the hotel bar.

Davos is located in the heart of Swiss ski country and the hotel will be open in time for the winter season.
