JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa has teamed up with The Biggest Loser Resort as the new US West Coast location in Palm Desert, California.

Inspired by the weight-loss television show, The Biggest Loser Resort also has weight-loss and wellness programmes in Chicago; Niagara, New York; and Amelia Island, Florida.

The Biggest Loser Resort is founded on the pillars of fitness, nutrition, education, relaxation and group camraderie, all of which are integrated into its destination-based weight-loss programmes. The resorts offer retreats where guests take part in custom-built fitness routines, nutritional education and stress-management and life-skills workshops, aided by the support of teammates and professional group leaders.

At The Biggest Loser Resort Palm Desert, a team of certified counselors and coaches provides motivational and personalised training to help guests achieve physical and mental transformations.

They also have access to the resort’s four swimming pools, golf courses and its 38,000sq ft (3,530sq m) spa with 48 treatment rooms.

“The JW Marriott brand’s commitment to health and wellbeing aligns perfectly with The Biggest Loser Resort programme goals,” said Lesley Carey, president of The Biggest Loser Resort.
