Jumeirah Emirates launches first male-only spa
POSTED 21 Apr 2006 . BY
Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai has opened its new spa, H20, exclusively for male residents of the hotel.

The spa includes four multi-purpose treatment rooms, an active relaxation area and a flotation pool.

There is also a separate Oxygen Lounge – complete with an oxygen bar, and ‘Cosmos’ active massage chairs to relax muscles – where a number of H20 signature treatments will be available. There will also be individual music players and a choice of films which guests can watch in specially developed 3D glasses.

The H20 treatment menu includes therapies designed to help cure discomfort after long haul flights alongside those to revive and energise customers such as the Executive Jet Lag Reviver, Deep Tissue Sports Massage, Volcanic Hot Stone Massage, Exotic Kahuna Hawaiian Massage, an Oxygen Facelift and Foot Reflexology. All therapies will use the Aromatherapy Associates brand.

Doris Greif, general manager of the Jumeirah Emirates Towers, said: “All over the world there is a new generation of body and health-conscious men. Our decision to introduce this unique concept was influenced by the guest mix at the Towers which reflects more than 80 per cent male business travellers.

“This, in addition to their heightened expectations when it comes to innovative relaxation experiences, creates a very attractive niche for innovative products and experiences.”

H20 was developed following extensive research on global spa and lifestyle trends by Jumeirah while the design of the spa has been masterminded to be in alignment with the rest of Jumeirah Emirates Towers’ architectural style.
