Jumeirah invited guests at its 15 destinations around the world to take part in immersive wellness experiences for Global Wellness Day on 14 June.

The hotel operator – a member of Dubai Holding – celebrated the day with a range of activities that align with the philosophy of its Talise Spa concept, to connect with the self, with others and the planet.

Celebrations in the UAE
In Dubai, guests at Jumeirah Burj Al Arab had the opportunity to take part in sunrise yoga, a nourishing breakfast, Valmont skincare masterclasses and to use the Talise Spa’s facilities. They could also witness the marine conservation efforts of the Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project, feeding turtles during a behind-the-scenes experience at the project’s sanctuary.

At Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, the brand’s newest property that opened in March this year, emotional wellness was at the forefront of the celebrations. Somatic yoga, breathwork and a keynote on the gut-mind connection by nutrition specialist Silvena Rowe were on offer.

Other properties offered cold plunges, wellness consultations, massages, nature walks and in some locations, family-friendly activities, such as kids' yoga.

European festivities
Italy’s Jumeirah Capri Palace offered poolside yoga and the property’s signature Leg School Therapy, created by Professor Francesco Canonaco. This is designed to boost circulation, enhance skin tone and address varicose veins and stretch marks.

Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London delivered a sensory workshop led by the Talise Spa’s skincare partner, Ground. It featured breathwork, aromatherapy and guided meditation. Mindful movement company Sanctum also led a workout.

Ceremonies in Asia
Beachside blessing rituals and various yoga sessions were on offer at Jumeirah Bali in Indonesia – in addition to an educational talk on traditional medicine for longevity.

Other rituals at properties in the Maldives and China included sunrise running, vocal sound journeys, collagen treatments and Chinese martial arts practice Eight-Trigram Boxing.

Sarah Dalton, director of wellbeing, global operations, Jumeirah Group told Spa Business: “At Jumeirah, wellbeing is not just a one-off spa treatment, it’s part of our culture. Global Wellness Day is a meaningful opportunity for us to come together across all Talise spas and Jumeirah properties to inspire our guests and colleagues to embrace small, positive lifestyle choices. Through thoughtfully curated experiences rooted in movement, mindfulness and connection, we hope to spark long-term wellbeing journeys that extend far beyond just one day.”
