Shangri-La International Hotel Management has opened the 31-storey, 574-room Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai, China - the debut of the company's new luxury hotel brand.
Unique to the city, it offers a Stickman Tribe-designed three-in-one dining and entertainment concept called The COOK, The MEET and The BREW.
The COOK is the main à la carte restaurant, featuring 11 live show kitchens and a gourmet delicatessen and with seating for 365 people. Opening in April, The MEET is a contemporary steakhouse and speciality grill.
The BREW is a craft brewery with its own signature beers, pub-style meals and live music entertainment.
Further dining options include the tea and cocktails COOK Lounge, and Blossoms, a collection of private dining rooms specialising in Cantonese cuisine.
Fitness provision is care of Kerry Sports, a 6,000sq m (64,583sq ft), three-storey club with a 24 hour gym and studios for aerobics, spinning, Pilates and yoga; a 25m indoor pool; outdoor basketball and tennis courts; and an outdoor roof garden with a jogging track.
Scheduled to open in April is a 275sq m (2,960sq ft) day spa with nine treatment suites and specialising in traditional Chinese medicine treatments based on ancient Wushu healing traditions.
Elsewhere are a 700sq m (7,535sq ft) indoor children's fantasy playground called the 'Adventure Zone', and more than 7,300sq m (78,576sq ft) of meeting and event space.
