Le Méridien is set to reopen its Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort in Thailand next month after extensive renovations to the property following damage caused by the tsunami in December 2004.
At the time, the company predicted it would reopen no earlier than November.
The property now boasts 243 bedrooms, 10 lagoon villas and 15 pool villas as well as Le Spa, which includes eight, private, self contained villas for treatments.
Seven guests and 12 staff died at the resort when the tidal wave hit on Boxing Day. Details: www.lemeridien.com
