London-based Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts (LMH&R) group has signed a franchise agreement for the Dead Sea Resort & Spa, formerly the Hyatt Regency Dead Sea Resort, Spa and Convention Centre.
The deal was agreed with hotel group, Fattal Hotel Management (FHM), which manages 11 hotels in Israel and has a further hotel in Tel Aviv currently under construction.
The 578-bedroom hotel is situated within a two-hour drive from Ben Gurion International Airport and 90 minutes from Jerusalem.
The Dead Sea Resort will join other LMH&R sites already open in Eliat and Haifa.
Fitness and spa facilities at Le Méridien Dead Sea include two freshwater pools, the Mineralia Spa, indoor and outdoor Dead Sea water pools, sulphur pools, a private beach, squash courts and two tennis courts.
