Mandara Spa group has opened it's latest spa in the Maldives, claiming it's the most exquisite yet.

Situated in Emboodhu Finolhu, in the middle of one of the largest lagoons in the Maldives, the Taj Spa by Mandara is part of the Taj Exotica resort run by the Taj Group of Hotels, based in India.

The spa has been designed to capitalise on its ocean based location. Balinese architectural features, such as alang-alang roofs and a garden with a circular lotus pond centrepiece, compliment a state of the art glass gymnasium, set on stilts above the lagoon.

The spa comprises a Decleor treatment room, a boutique which stocks Decleor and Mandara signature products, a manicure and pedicure balcony and an outdoor spa pavilion - a venue for Thai massage and Tai Chi classes.

Two double spa villas and single spa suites feature a private sand garden and timber-cased jacuzzi overlooking the ocean.

The spa menu blends century old Asian traditional health and beauty treatments like Bali coffee scrub, Javanese Lulur and a package ritual called 'healing ceremony', with some of the newest spa and beauty trends including oxygenated facials and Decleor's Aroma Relax.

Mandara Spa operates over 60 spas worldwide, including three aboard luxury cruise ships.
