POSTED 22 Jun 2011 . BY Tom Walker
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) will open a 138-bedroom hotel in Paris, France on 28 June.

The hotel, which is housed in a historic Art Deco building, has been designed by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, who oversaw the renovation and conversion of the property.

The hotel's spa was designed by Sybille de Margerie, who also created the the interior design and decoration of the rooms.

The 900sq m (10,000sq ft) Spa at Mandarin Oriental is spread over two floors and boasts seven spa suites - including three double treatment rooms for couples; a 14m indoor swimming pool; a relaxation area; and a 119sq m (1,280sq ft) health and fitness area.

The spa will use MOHG's signature product line for its treatments, which has been developed specifically for the group by UK-based company Aromatherapy Associates.

Dining facilities at the hotel include two restaurants, a "live cooking counter" and a bar.

Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx, a gourmet restaurant seating 44, is an intimate, light filled haute-couture cocoon.

Elsewhere, the all-day restaurant Camelia serves authentic cuisine with seating for 70 people and a further 25 in the hotel's indoor garden.
