Margaret Dabbs opening two new clinics
POSTED 25 May 2016 . BY Jane Kitchen
Margaret Dabbs clinics include both private treatment rooms for medical pedicures and space for traditional manicures and pedicures
Hand- and foot-care specialist Margaret Dabbs has recently opened a clinic in Cheltenham – its first UK clinic outside of London – and is set to open additional locations in Manchester and Harrogate, England.

The Manchester clinic is set to open this month, while the Harrogate location will open later in the year, bringing the total number of clinics to seven. The brand aims to have between 12 and 15 clinics open by the end of 2017.

Margaret Dabbs is named for the woman of the same name, who got her start in 2004 as a podiatrist. Discussions with her clients made her realise that “hands and feet were the poor relation of the beauty industry,” she said, and she has built her brand by fusing the medical efficacy of a clinical treatment with the need for aesthetic improvement.

“I constantly hear the refrain from people that hands give a person’s age away and that certain shoes can not be worn because of the state of an individual’s feet,” said Dabbs. “I want to help banish these phrases for good and create a much more vibrant, effective and interesting range of products and services for hands and feet.”

Margaret Dabbs products are used and sold in spas, but her clinics are staffed by podiatrists who are trained in Dabbs’ techniques. The new Cheltenham location includes five private treatment rooms for procedures including medical pedicures, bunion prevention therapy, biomechanical assessments, fungal nail laser therapy and foot acupuncture, as well as six hand and foot stations for traditional manicures and pedicures.

Margaret Dabbs has also just launched its first nail polish collection, which includes 72 colours inspired by English flowers; as an added bonus, the use of wild rose botanicals leaves the varnish with a pleasant floral scent.
