Matfen Hall Hotel, 15 miles west of Newcastle, UK, has unveiled its latest development in a rolling programme of investment, launching a new £300,000 (US$455,000, €392,000) thermal spa.
The 53-bedroom estate has added a full thermal spa journey to its existing five treatment room spa. Supplied by spa equipment company Dalesauna, the thermal suite includes monsoon showers, an aromatherapy room, steamroom, sauna, ice bucket and ice fountains.
Open to hotel residents, day guests and spa members alike, there is also a 16m (52ft) swimming pool and spa pool.
Treatments are by Elemis and the new gym equipment on site is supplied by Technogym.
