One of the Dorchester Collection hotels, the Hotel Bel-Air, is to reopen in July 2011 in Los Angeles, US, complete with a new 12,000sq ft (1,114sq m) spa.
The reopening follows 22 months of extensive renovation and redesign, undertaken as a collaboration between design teams Alexandra Champalimaud and the Rockwell Group.
The spa will include three guest lofts with open floor plans, double-sided fireplaces and dramatically high ceilings. Details: www.hotelbelair.com
