An ancient path has been restored and reopened for walkers in Hope Valley.
The Peak District National Park Authority has re-instated the hollow-way – a sunken path carved out of the landscape by pack-horse trains that used to cross Ridgewayside, above Hathersage.
Offering fresh views of an outstanding panorama, it also gives access to three traditional haymeadows which bloom with wild flowers in June and July.
