A luxury day spa is to open in May at the Monte do Casal hotel in Cerro do Lobo in Portugal’s Algarve region.
The Sanctuary Spa will cover 2,368sq ft (220sq m), excluding its outdoor area, and will boast three treatment rooms, a relaxation room, a sauna, hammam, sundeck, outdoor swimming pool and gazebo.
Created by William Hawkins to provide a meditative environment within the hotel, the spa will overlook a pine lake and botanical gardens. Water will feature very strongly throughout.
Elemis and Sundari products will be used for the holistic treatments, which will utilise Eastern techniques.
