A new online health and wellbeing community and marketplace called Wahanda is gearing up to launch in September.

Created by a team including the co-founder of lastminute.com, Brent Hobeman, and investors in Yahoo! and Skype, Wahanda is intended to provide a unique way for wellness businesses to connect with consumers by sharing their expertise and offering special deals.

It will have a user-friendly approach, and allow site visitors to search its services using a number of criteria such as location, treatment and price, as well as having a significant gift voucher element.
