More than 70 spa operators from four Thailand provinces of Phuket, Phang Nga, Krabi and Surat Thani attended a seminar on increasing their spa’s income by applying information technology (IT).
According to Andaman News, the spa operators gathered in Phuket for the seminar, which was organised by the Software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA).
The session was intended to introduce a number of general IT applications alongside some to specifically target spa marketing.
SIPA Phuket manager Dr Rattana Wesprasit said that, while the IT applications had predominantly been used in the hospitality industry for bookings and registrations, that they had been engineered specifically to aid spa management in evaluation of their businesses.
