Peninsula Hotels has embarked on a spa development programme which will see the Hong Kong-based company add two new spas to its existing hotels in 2006.
The first to open will be the 11,000sq ft spa at the Peninsula Hong Kong.
Located on the hotel’s 7th and 8th floors, the spa will have 14 treatment rooms and a couple’s suite with a vitality pool and shower.
Spa facilities include a relaxation area, steam room, a sauna, spa pools and a tea lounge.
The second Peninsula spa to launch this year will open at the Peninsula Bangkok in November 2006.
Built amidst gardens next to the hotel in a three-storey Thai colonial-style building, the spa will feature 18 treatment rooms.
Amenities will include four couples’ suites with vitality pools and showers while four of the single treatment rooms can be converted to double massage rooms.
Peninsula has teamed up with ESPA to produce exclusive treatments for the spas, which will draw on eastern and western wellness and relaxation philosophies, but will also use other product in some treatments.
Most of the treatments will be provided by ESPA products. Details: www.peninsula.com
