Peranakan-style Centara villa resort welcomes guests in Nusa Dua

The Centara Grand Villas Nusa Dua Bali, Centara’s second resort in Bali, has started to welcome guests to its 14-villa property located within the Bali Tourism Corporation ocean resort complex – just five minutes-walk from Bali Nusa Dua Convention Centre.

The style of Peranakan – a blend of Chinese and Indonesian culture – has inspired the design of the resort. Teak and rosewood furnishings sit upon lava stone marble floors from Java, complemented by gold-painted panelling in each of the villas.

The five-star resort includes an eight-treatment room Spa Cenvaree. While seven of the treatment rooms are for massage, scrubs and facial therapies, the eighth is for manicures and pedicures. Separate changing rooms for men and women are each accompanied by a steam sauna and a Kneipp facility.

Open to both resort guests and external visitors, the spa offers a signature treatment called ‘The Peranakan Heritage’ treatment. The treatment begins with a heated soft scrub using ground rice, turmeric, nutmeg and galangal. Guests are then bathed in a lemon verbena floral tea bath, followed by a body massage using rose oils and an organic mulberry facial pouch.

Thai massage, Balinese massage and other signature therapies will be on offer at the spa, using local ingredients.

The resort, which is 10 minutes from the Bali Collection Shopping Mall, also features a 24-hour fitness centre, five food and beverage outlets and a 300sq m (3,229sq ft) meeting room with a maximum seating capacity of 240 people, in addition to a separate business centre.

The Spa Cenvaree at this property is the 36th worldwide.
