POSTED 21 Jun 2018 . BY Lauren Heath-Jones
RBH's Spa Awards awards honour individuals and properties from across QHotels' luxury spa hotel portfolio
Hotel management company RBH has named the winners of its 2018 Spa Awards in a ceremony at the Stratford Manor Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon.

The awards honour individuals and properties from across QHotels luxury spa hotel portfolio across six major categories: Spa of the Year, Spa Therapist of the Year, Operational Spa of the Year, Special Recognition, Best Newcomer and ESPA Beauty Recognition awards.

The Mottram Hall Spa in Cheshire was named Spa of the Year, beating out stiff competition from The Spa at The Midland in Manchester and the spa at Slaley Hall in Northumberland, which took second and third place respectively.

Operational Spa of the Year went to the Cambridge Belfry, due to its spa offering, with Norton Park in Hampshire and the Telford Hotel and Golf Resort's spas coming in second and third.

The second annual Spa Therapist of the Year award, presented in partnership with luxury beauty brand ESPA, went to Karolina Barrett from The Nottingam Belfy, while Lucy Whalley from Mottram Hall and Molly Birch of Tankersley Manor were named as runners up.

Jaydene Higgins from Telford Hotel and Golf Resort recieved the Special Recognition award, Jamie Brown from Norton Park was named as Best Newcomer, and Lindsay Dumsday of Aldwark Manor won the ESPA recognition award.

"With such a rich collection of spa hotels across the Qhotels portfolio and such a wealth of talent within our spas, the judges had some really tough decisions on their hands," said Dave Heap, director of Spa and Leisure at RBH.

"We are big believers in recognising and rewarding talent and we had a fantastic night celebrating success alongside our colleagues from across the UK."
