Refinancing for St Pancras Renaissance
POSTED 16 Mar 2012 . BY Pete Hayman
London's iconic St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in the UK has successfully secured a £67m (US$105.7m, EUR80.6m) refinancing with funding from Barclays Corporate and RBS.

The hotel opened last May following a £150m refurbishment of the Grade I-listed Victorian building, which took more than 10 years to complete. It is operated by JW Marriott.

The funding facility will allow the hotel to continue investing in and developing its facilities, which include a 6,226sq ft (578sq m) spa with five treatment rooms and a spa pool.

Barclays Corporate head of hotel finance Tim Helliwell said: "The St Pancras Renaissance Hotel is a great establishment and the owners and management team have a proven track record of successful hotel development."

Manhattan Loft – the developer behind the refurbishment – declined to comment further, although the Evening Standard reported the funding would help "manage a structured paydown of the development finance" and allow for continued investment in the hotel.
