Middleton Pool in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire, is undergoing a £250,000 redevelopment.

Funded by Newport Pagnell Town Council and a grant from the government’s government’s free swimming initiative, the revamp will include the creation of new training and function rooms as well as the introduction of a number of energy-saving methods at the centre.

The new facilities are part of plans to expand the variety of leisure courses on offer at the centre.

The centre will remain open to users during the revamp, which is scheduled to be completed by early 2010.
