A wellness club opens on London’s River Thames in June, offering luxury facilities and personalised wellness protocols focused on recovery and longevity.

Sæl Spa at Fulham Pier – London’s new lifestyle destination on the River Thames – will be set across four floors and has been conceived as a “modern British sanctuary.”

Facilities include a 15-metre heated rooftop infinity pool and sun terrace and a movement studio with integrated infrared technology hosting one-to-one reformer Pilates, personal training, yoga, breathwork and sound-based recovery practices.

The wet spa includes experience showers, a Finnish dry sauna and botanical steam room, and contrast therapy suites with infrared sauna and cold plunge facilities.

Bon Charge red light therapy and PEMF tools feature in the Recovery Lounge, as well as IV infusions, compression therapy and immersive vibro‑acoustic relaxation beds. Treatments on offer include regenerative bodywork and circadian-aligned massage, designed to support energy, recovery and sleep.

Memberships start at £3,000 a year and can be personalised according to individual goals, such as cognitive clarity; sleep recovery; peak performance, and metabolic reset. A year-round programme of expert talks and workshops will also be run.

Inge Theron, founder of FaceGym and spa design studio ITANDA, who designed the Belgravia spa, Surrenne, consulted on the longevity concept and wellness programming. She describes Sæl Spa is the future of British wellness: “We’ve brought together the country’s most exceptional practitioners, bathing rituals, bodywork, and beauty in a single destination where ancient practice meets modern expertise. Sæl Spa is the fullest expression of a concept rooted in science shaped by the best British minds in each field.”

3 Peaks Health is leading the diagnostics programme which includes blood analysis, microbiome mapping and targeted neurostimulation. Dr Mark Mikhail, founder of 3 Peaks Health, said: "One of the biggest challenges in modern wellness is cutting through the noise. At Sæl Spa, our focus is on helping members understand what their bodies need, using clinical insight to create personalised treatment plans that deliver real, lasting results.”

Social facilities include Pantri – a recovery café serving nutrient dense menus – and a spa penthouse for private social wellness gatherings.

Michaela Hurst, head of Sæl Spa at Fulham Pier, said: “Sæl Spa is designed around how people want to live today, where wellbeing is approached as a connected system. By bringing together movement, recovery, clinical insight and longevity in a beautiful riverside setting, and structuring this through personalised pathways, we support not just how people feel in the moment, but how they function over time.”

Designed to maximise natural light and maintain a constant connection to the River Thames, Sæl Spa’s architecture and interiors support circadian rhythm alignment, recovery and cognitive performance.

The wider Fulham Pier destination includes the Fulham Pier Hotel and private members club Lighthouse Social; food hall Riverside Market and Brasserie Constance by Michelin-starred chef, Adam Byatt.

The name Sæl originates from Old English meaning calm, happy or blessed and the bespoke lettering is inspired by historic type rediscovered in the Thames.
