Shangri-La Hotels has opened its 91st hotel in Hefei, China, with a 400sq m (4,305sq ft) CHI spa.
The spa includes two double and five single treatment rooms, along with a relaxation lounge and a herbal steam shower.
Jessie Liu has been named spa manager, and the spa will be using Baden-Baden, Germany-based Biodroga as a product house. Clients have a choice of eight body massages with a range of pressures, as well as five facials, all of which draw on the traditional healing philosophies of Asia.
The 27-storey, 401-bedroom property is set between the Yangtze River and the freshwater Chaohu Lake. Guest rooms feature soft, beige tones and full-length windows, along with landscape features of mountains, flowers and rivers typically found in Chinese paintings.
The hotel also includes two dining options, a 24-hour health club, personal training sessions, a 1,400sq m (15,069sq ft) ballroom, beauty salon, whirlpool, steamroom and sauna.
