Sheraton expands in Argentina with Tucuman property
POSTED 22 Jul 2013 . BY Aoife Dowling
Starwood Hotels & Resorts has unveiled the new Sheraton Tucuman Hotel in the north west of Argentina, South America.

Located in San Miguel de Tucuman, the capital of the province, the property is owned by Argentine company Sol del NOA S.A. and operated by Starwood.

Sheraton Tucuman is the ninth Sheraton branded hotel in the country, and offers 124 guestrooms, including six executive suites and a presidential suite.

The spa facility covers more than 8,600sq ft (800sq m) and will provide a full range of regional therapies. The hotel also offers Sheraton Fitness by Programmed Core Performance, the brand's health and fitness programme, which offers guests the possibility of working out and eating healthily while travelling.

The hotel features Mora Bistro Argentino, a gourmet restaurant which will have an international menu strongly influenced by local gastronomy, along with a Lobby Bar and a Snack bar located on the pool deck.

Other highlights include more than 28,000sq ft (2,601sq m) of meeting space, five ballrooms, and a poolside terrace that spans more than 9,500sq ft (882sq m).

This project is part of the tourism and hotel sector development plan that Sol del NOA has been implementing in Argentina and in the region.

Gustavo Cinosi, president of Sol del NOA said: "Through this partnership with Starwood, Tucuman will now count with the world-class level of services that only an international chain like Sheraton can guarantee, establishing itself as the gateway to the entire north west of Argentina."
