SpaFinder announces WaySpa partnership
POSTED 30 Sep 2011 . BY Pete Hayman
Spa and wellness marketing company SpaFinder has announced that it has signed a deal that sees it join forces with Canada-based spa marketing enterprise, WaySpa.

Under the new partnership, the companies will offer one of the most comprehensive online selections of spas, fitness studios and wellness practitioners to consumers in Canada.

It is also hoped that the new partnership between the two companies will increase the number of consumers that visit properties currently marketing with both SpaFinder and WaySpa.

At the heart of the venture is the new spafinder.ca website, which aims to establish itself as the leading internet-based resource for the Canadian spa and wellness industry.

WaySpa chief executive officer Jeremy Creed will be responsible for SpaFinder's Canada-based websites, which will be made available to consumers in both English and French.

Creed will also spearhead the expansion of SpaFinder's social commerce arm, SpaRahRah, and its international wellness initiative, Wellness Week, in Canada.

Meanwhile, consumers will have the opportunity to use SpaFinder or WaySpa Gift Cards at up to 2,000 locations across Canada, while helping operators to expand their reach.

SpaFinder chair and chief executive officer Pete Ellis said: "No-one knows more about connecting Canadian consumers with the country's spa and wellness businesses than Jeremy."

Creed added: "Our mission is to offer more choices to spa-goers who are seeking the best spa/wellness experience and a better gift card product to Canadians. This alliance will help us fulfil that promise."

It is expected that the venture will be fully implemented by the end of the year.
