The Workforce State of Mind Survey will explore the condition of mental health of the UK fitness sector's workforce
The survey is in its second year and is open to anyone working in the sector
Findings will be announced at the Active-Net conference held from 23 to 24 March
Both employers and employees are being invited to complete the data gathering questionnaire
The Workforce State of Mind Survey, now in its second year, has begun to gather data to gain insights into how the mental health of people working in the sector has been faring since the inaugural survey was conducted in early 2021.

Anyone working in the fitness and active leisure sector can contribute to the national survey, which will be live until mid-February.

Findings will be presented at the Active-Net conference held from 23 to 24 March.

The 2021 Workforce State of Mind Survey attracted more than 1,000 individual responses and 81 employer responses.

It showed that more than half (53 per cent) of respondent had experienced a mental health issue in the previous 12 months.

Lindsey Simpson, co-founder of Workplace Mental Wealth and curator of the survey, said: “The 2022 survey will deliver even more value than last year because we will be able to compare year-on-year data.

"Last year was about understanding the landscape and creating a benchmark.

"This year is more about identifying trends and assessing areas for action, helping to build a picture of where employers are achieving and where there is more work to be done in the area of workforce mental health.”
