TAC's Facebook booking app
POSTED 14 May 2013 . BY Kate Corney
The Austrian software vendor TAC has recently launched its "In Facebook booking app", a new embedded application certified by Facebook.

With the Facebook booking app hotels, resorts and clubs may now offer the full functionality of The Assistant Companies renowned web engine, on their Facebook Fan pages.

A hotel’s Facebook fans are able to book treatments, buy or redeem gift certificates and purchase products without asking them to change the media channel and, risk losing them and their revenues.

The Facebook booking app works in real time with the core Reservation Assistant system. Guest reservations and sales completed via Facebook instantly appear on the Reservation Assistant availability screens, in guest profiles and on revenue reports.

Product inventory, employee schedules, and treatment room allocation plans are all immediately updated.

The app offers added value to both the hotel and it’s guests. The opportunity for the hotel to increase its sales and provide an innovative service to its guests is obvious. Guests will enjoy being enabled to book treatments and buy products via their preferred channel, whenever they want to.

The Tamina Therme of the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz in Switzerland is already working with the 'In Facebook' booking app by TAC and has justified the investment costs after two months of usage.

Ronny Schieler, system manager of Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, reports: “For Tamina Therme’s management and the marketing team, one reason for deciding in favor of the Facebook App was its seamless integration into Facebook. The sales figures generated since December 2012 have proved the investment to be worthwhile”.
