TV star Charlie Webster joins Matt Roberts’ 'Netflix for Fitness'
POSTED 23 Dec 2015 . BY Jak Phillips
Former Sky Sports presenter Webster (right) is the latest addition to Matt Roberts' new fitness channel
TV presenter and fitness trainer Charlie Webster is to launch a series of live and on-demand running classes on Body.Network, the new streaming service for personal fitness training developed by celebrity trainer Matt Roberts.

Roberts, who counts Prime Minister David Cameron and comedian Michael McIntyre among his clients, brought the new Body.Network service to market last month with a number of collaborators. In addition to a range of classes led by Roberts, the channel will feature classes by trainers from global yoga brand Yogasphere and the Colin Waggett-helmed gym chain The Third Space.

Former Sky Sports presenter Webster, who has run nine marathons, cycled the UK stages of the Tour de France and completed an Ironman challenge, will host a number of her own personal workouts that she uses to run 10k and further. The classes will be broadcast live and members to the service will also have 28 days to watch it on-demand.

Webster’s programme includes workouts for strength, power and stability and have been designed to enhance both performance and enjoyment. Users can also download audio to make the PT and presenter their running partner wherever they are, with an interactive programme planner allowing members to go straight to their exercise sessions at the touch of button.

“Running changed my life and gave me the confidence to feel like I could do and achieve anything,” said Webster.

“By streaming classes on Body.Network I am able to share my own personal tips, advice and techniques that have helped me maximise my performance and importantly make running enjoyable, worthwhile and successful for people up and down the country.”

Body.Network is the latest in a growing number of subscription-model fitness class services to have come to market in the last year, the most notable of which being Les Mills’ On Demand. Subscribers can access the Body.Network channel via computer, smartphone or tablet, with subscriptions costing £15 a month, or pay-per-view available from £3 a session.
