The UK spa review and discovery platform for consumers, the Good Spa Guide, has announced it will host the Good Spa Guide Awards 2026 during an event on 16 November at Sopwell House Hotel and Spa in St Albans, UK.

The awards were previously hosted during the gala evening at the annual industry event Spa Life UK.

The awards have evolved into a single annual ceremony, replacing the platform’s previous format of consumer-voted and Good Spa Guide Regional Awards. This new model will incorporate both consumer voting and expert panel judging – combining public recognition and professional industry expertise.

A white paper, focusing on the habits and behaviours of UK Spa consumers – which has previously been released to coincide with the awards – will now be published at a later date.

"These awards represent a new chapter for the spa industry," said Lesley Bacon, spa and wellness director at the Good Spa Guide. "By bringing together the voice of consumers with the expertise of an independent judging panel, we're creating a single awards programme that truly reflects the very best our industry has to offer. Our ambition is simple: to create the event every spa professional wants to attend and every spa business wants to win."

The event programme will bring together the UK’s leading spa operators, wellness professionals, hotel groups, brands and industry leaders for an evening of celebration.

The award categories are as follows:

  • Best Hotel Spa (Boutique) - up to 6 treatment rooms
  • Best Hotel Spa - 7+ treatment rooms
  • Best Day Spa (Boutique) - up to 6 treatment rooms
  • Best Day Spa - 7+ treatment rooms
