The Well HQ CEO, Baz Moffat will be speaking at the HCM Summit on 24 October in London
Female health expert, The Well HQ has teamed up with training provider, The Fitness Group, to launch education courses aimed at upskilling PTs in female health.

The courses will develop an understanding of how to train, support and work with girls and women and cover topics such as the menstrual cycle, breast health and reducing injury rates.

The Well HQ menopause courses are the first mapped to the Professional Standard for Working with Women and Girls. The Gym Group is already on board, putting 150 trainers through the Female Health First programme.

Baz Moffat, CEO at The Well HQ, says: “There's so much exercise can do to support mid-life women and manage their symptoms, which is why our partnership with The Fitness Group is vital in helping to raise awareness.

"I want it to be normal for people working in exercise to learn about all female health topics, but especially menopause," she said.

“High profile individuals, such as Gabby Logan, speaking up has helped normalise the conversation and we’ve also seen momentum building in the business world through the launch of menopause policies, which has massively helped create an inclusive environment where people are now comfortable talking about the menopause.”

Steven Dick, co-founder and director at The Fitness Group, says the courses will be available globally through The Fitness Group's online platform, as well as in-person in key cities around the UK.

“The Well HQ is doing amazing work in women’s health and creating content that has been carefully created to be accessible to all," he says. "This partnership will help to educate the fitness industry on how exercise can help women and girls become the architects of their own health, happiness and performance.”

The Well HQ was launched in 2021 by former Team GB rower Baz Moffat, Dr Emma Ross and Dr Bella Smith to translate science on female health into messaging everyone can understand and to deliver the material in an engaging way.

Moffat will be speaking at the HCM Summit on 24 October 2024, at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, London. A high-end, all-keynote conference, the summit will bring together leaders, operators, investors, associations and suppliers from across the world of fitness, health and wellness to examine issues critical to the sector.
