Three women have reportedly been killed and three other people injured following an explosion on 19 June at an annexe of a spa, situated near a busy street in central Tokyo, Japan.
According to Kyodo News, two women employees of the one-storey Shiespa bathhouse facility in Tokyo’s Shibuya Ward and another woman were pulled from the rubble following the blast but had already died. A further two women employees and a male passer-by were also injured.
The explosion was reportedly caused by a malfunction in the spa's boiler.
