Urban Retreat to open flagship location in London
POSTED 13 May 2019 . BY Lauren Heath-Jones
Urban Retreat's White House is billed as the 'ultimate beauty destination'

The grand nature of The White House is perfect for Urban Retreat to realise its vision, where 'beauty meets hospitality'
– Reena Hammer, MD or Urban Retreat
Luxury spa and salon operator Urban Retreat is set to open its first standalone location in London this June.

Called The White House, the 12,000sq ft flagship is billed as the 'ultimate beauty destination' and will be located inside a former private residence on Hans Crescent in the London Borough of Kensington.

Designed to resemble a luxurious private members club, The White House will offer a host of facilities including an open plan retail space offering a range of products from specially curated beauty brands, a Frédéric Fekkai hair salon where guests can experience luxurious hair services and treatments and nail care brand CND's London flagship nail salon.

Other facilities will include Flavour by Urban Retreat, a 40-cover in-house restaurant and cocktail bar, offering a balanced and nutritious menu, free from artificial colours and flavourings. Flavour will have its own operating hours to accommodate evening bookings.

A creative studio will host guest residences for tattoo and piercing artists, to provide an alternative and edgier beauty offering, while the second and third floors will offer both medical and traditional beauty services, as well as the Limited Edition Suite, that will play host to external beauty brands performing exclusive and signature treatments not on their regular menu for a limited time.

In addition, the basement, billed as a 'detox haven', is an entire floor dedicated to wellness.
Partnerships with leading nutritionists and consultants will enable Urban Retreat to offer intolerance testing, results-driven testing, tailored weight management programmes and slimming treatments, as well as colonic hydrotherapy, while infrared saunas, relaxation rooms and a soundproof yoga and meditation studio complete the offering.

Reena Hammer, managing director of Urban Retreat, said: "We want to revolutionise and own the beauty hospitality space with our expert staff, authoritative approach to service, best-in-class professional and retail products, alongside an elevated customer experience."

"The grand nature of The White House is perfect for Urban Retreat to realise its vision, where 'beauty meets hospitality'. In a landscape where traditional retail layouts and store design are being challenged by the expectations of the evolving consumer, our brand new concept will focus on an experience-led approach. Everyone will be met with a warm and relaxed, yet luxurious place to spend time, where creating intimacy with our clients and anticipating their needs is key."

Urban Retreat is currently recruiting for a beauty therapist and hair specialist for the new store.
