Spa-tacular campaign launches in Southeast Asia
POSTED 21 Mar 2017 . BY Rebecca Barnes
The Reverie in Saigon is part of Vietnam's Spa-tacular campaign
Vietnam is positioning itself as a world-class destination for spa with five of the country’s top hotels, resorts and cruises joining forces to launch ‘Spa-tacular Vietnam’.

The ‘Spa-tacular Vietnam’ package features 10 nights and 10 spa treatments in the most deluxe properties in Vietnam’s top five destinations: Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hue, Nha Trang and Saigon.

Hotels taking part are Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Paradise Cruises, La Residence Hue, The Anam in Cam Ranh and The Reverie Saigon. Each hotel will offer two 60 or 90-minute spa treatments as anchors to the on-site experience.

Treatments include The Reverie’s ‘Serenity’, a 90-minute, stimulating deep-tissue experience featuring herbal packs and Ila oil; the Metropole’s signature ‘Vietnamese Journey’ which is often performed post-flight and incorporates traditional Vietnamese massage techniques, using finger and palm pressure to relieve aching limbs, improve circulation and eliminate toxins while lying on a warm herbal cushion; and La Residence’s Vietnamese rice wine and ginger bath which includes a back and shoulder therapy treatment.

The package costs US$3,346 (€3,099, £2,685) and includes accommodation with breakfast and treatments for one person.

“Vietnam is the most under-rated spa destination in the world,” said Franck LaFourcade, general manager of Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi. “For a long time, there was no spa culture here, but there was a people that cultivated the virtues of attentiveness and diligence that make a spa treatment here rather extraordinary.”

Each of the hotels is a member of the Quintessential Collection Vietnam, a marketing cooperative that promotes the single best hospitality property in each of Vietnam’s five most attractive destinations.
