A two-day spa management seminar called the Wellness, Health and Spa Management Conference (WHiSPA) will take place from 7-8 May 2007 in Dubai.

Intended to be a fast-track, high intensity event, WHiSPA will focus on key skills and techniques needed to improve spa management on an international level and boost the profit potential of spa operations.

Conference topics will include creating a business financial strategy; leadership development; recruitment and training as well as rescue strategies for troubled businesses.

Susie Santiago, founder of the spa training organisation Santi, will be the key presenter at WHiSPA, while other speakers will include Geraldine Howard, founder of Aromatherapy Associates, and NLP practitioner Frances Goodman of Imagine Success.

A discussion forum on effective trading within the Middle Eastern spa markets has also been organised, including an examination of how local laws can affect the spa industry. The discussion panel will include Gary Knill, managing director of Fitness First Middle East.
