Waterlooville Leisure Centre beefs up gym as part of £3m extension
POSTED 18 Jun 2015 . BY Jak Phillips
The revamped gym contains more than 150 stations – with equipment supplied by Life Fitness
Waterlooville Leisure Centre has opened its new three-storey gym to the public as work progresses on a £3m transformation for the site.

Operator Horizon Leisure Centres is also installing a new indoor children's play centre as part of a push to get more people active in the Hampshire town. As such, membership prices have been frozen to encourage greater participation, despite Horizon's significant investment.

The revamped gym contains more than 150 stations – with equipment supplied by Life Fitness – alongside a functional training area. The new air-conditioned exercise studio has capacity for 50 and will host a wide range of the 140 classes that Horizon organises across Havant and Waterlooville leisure centres each week.

Howard Broad, chief executive of Horizon Leisure Centres, said: “Having opened a hugely successful new gym at Havant Leisure Centre last July, I am extremely proud to be opening another fantastic new gym within a year at our Waterlooville Centre.”
