When architect Étienne Duval decided to apply for his dream job – a position at Bjarke Ingels’ studio BIG – he chose a rather unorthodox alternative to a traditional cover letter.
In a bid to stand out from the crowd, Duval posted a special rap on YouTube in which he sets out his suitability for the practice – who are perhaps in need of extra staff having announced a host of new projects recently, including a green-infused New York skyscraper and the 2016 Serpentine Pavilion.
The witty 1:50 clip swiftly sets out Duval’s educational background, architecture experience, language capability, software skills and desire to work with BIG while gently poking fun at Ingels and a number of other high-profile architects.
You can enjoy Duval’s video – which has nearly 147,000 views at the time of writing – below:
Gran Hotel Taoro in northern Tenerife, Spain, has completed the final phase of its three-year
renovation with the debut of its Sandára Wellness Centre.
Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa, the spa business with more than 650 locations across
the US and Canada, has appointed franchise expert Carrie Walsh as CEO as the company plans
to expand.
Synergy – The Retreat Show, the global trade show for retreats, has launched a global research
initiative that will provide insights into the retreat sector from both consumer and industry
perspectives.
