The Gritti Palace, Venice, sold to Qatar-based conglomerate

Originally built in 1525 as the private residence of Doge Andrea Gritti, The Gritti Palace in
Venice, Italy – which is now operated by Starwood as a Luxury Collection-branded
property – has been sold to Nozul Hotels & Resorts for €105m (US$120m, £76m).

an on-site children’s spa and will open its facility for adults in July this year as part of the resort’s

Loneliness is twice as unhealthy as obesity and its reach is escalating

17 years, rising to 341 million globally in 2013 according to a report by Euromonitor
International. Of course, living alone and feeling lonely are not mutually exclusive but the
statistics give some indication of the growing number of people who may be battling
