CEO for the brand. Susan Docherty will continue to grow and develop the brand, while the
founders continue to manage Canyon Ranch’s resort locations in Tucson, Arizona and

New Mexico casino resort to open new-build spa at the end of April

The Sandia Resort & Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is being transformed as part of
the resort’s expansion plans to include The Green Reed Spa. Other recent enhancements
have included the addition of a new casino, extra parking facilities, a golf club and a 450-
person banquet and events centre.

Deepak Chopra to attend Global Wellness Summit as keynote speaker

Dr Deepak Chopra will be a keynote speaker at the 2015 Global Wellness Summit (GWS)
at the St Regis Mexico City 13-15 November. Chopra is famous for raising awareness of
the concept of ‘personal wellbeing’, writing more than 80 books – 22 of which made the
New York Times best seller list – and creating the Chopra Foundation.

Henri Chenot to open health hotel with 6,000sq m wellness space in Azerbaijan

Health and wellness expert Henri Chenot will open the second ‘Espace Cure’ hotel – a
destination retreat – to have its entire structure dedicated to his health and wellness
programmes. This second hotel will be located in Gabala, Azerbaijan and is set to open in
Q2 2016. The first of these ‘Espace Cure’-structured hotels, which opened in 1980, is
Chenot’s flagship Palace Merano hotel in Italy.
