POSTED 26 Apr 2015 . BY Liz Terry
Hays moved to Kathmandu to establish her new business
Christine Hays, formerly director of spa for Oberoi Hotels and well-loved spa industry leader, has been caught up in the Nepal earthquake.

Hays – who now lives in Kathmandu – was at home with her son Jahmaal in the city when the 7.8 quake struck near Lamjung at 06:11:26 UTC on 25 April. Their home was destroyed, but both escaped unhurt and took shelter overnight in a school near Paten Durbar Square.

Hays is in Kathmandu establishing a new business – Easter Vibration – which supplies Himalayan singing bowls and vibrational healing expertise and products to the spa and wellness market, as well as helping local orphans.

Hays' friends are rallying round to send help. A fund – authenticated by Hays' family – has been established to channel donations to Hays via onlline portal GoFundMe.
